When a traffic ticket is issued, specific amounts of points are assessed to the individual's driver's license. If these points accumulate, there is potential for the driver's license to be suspended for a year. A year without a license can create many burdens.

Most drivers are eligible to take a class in order to reduce the accumulated points on their license and prevent license suspension. However, truck drivers are not able to take this class.
